Continue to record your efforts, keeping notes as to what you could do to improve your playing and recording. The goal is to get better at singing and recording the song over time. The moment you believe you can play and record the song to the best of your ability, the project is complete. Do not practice the song, instead consider each attempt to play and record the song as practice.
